The National Job Bank

About

What is the National Job Bank?

The National Job Bank is a fully online platform that is responsible for improving jobseekers’ access to employment opportunities from the comfort of their own homes or anywhere with an internet connection, at no cost.
It enables employers and potential employees to connect in order to fill open positions based on their competency, skills, and qualifications.

The initiative is consistent with His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s vision of creating 50,000 jobs in five (5) years.

The platform is also part of an expansion of the Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency (CRMA), Guyana’s leading employment agency founded in 1944.
The CRMA’s mandate is to match suitably qualified individuals to existing vacancies, canvass for job openings in order to place jobseekers, keep vacancy records, provide advice, career guidance and counselling, and counselling, and build
capacitybuilding for jobseekers.

“We stated quite clearly that our objective is to create 50,000 jobs. That goal which once, seemed distant and impossible, is now within our nation’s reach, made possible by the transformative agenda of Government”
His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali
President of The Cooperative Republic of Guyana
“We promised more jobs and that will be delivered to you. We are very serious about our commitments and we want to see a more robust labour sector”.
Hon. Joseph Hamilton
Minister of Labour
