What is the Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency?
The Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency (CRMA), Ministry of Labour has a longstanding commitment to improving employment opportunities and supporting workforce development in Guyana. Our mission is to connect jobseekers with employers, facilitate training and development, and ultimately reduce unemployment across the nation. The CRMA is dedicated to ensuring that every individual seeking employment has the chance to achieve meaningful employment.
Who or what is the CRMA about?
The CRMA’s mission is to facilitate employment for all job seekers. We achieve this by maintaining a robust Job Bank, offering training programmes, and working closely with employers to understand and meet the local labour market’s demands.
The launch of the Job Bank on March 11, 2022, was a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to employment generation. The Job Bank serves as a critical resource, connecting job seekers with available opportunities and providing employers with access to a pool of qualified candidates. Our goal is to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to achieve meaningful employment and contribute positively to society.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES:
- To efficiently match suitably qualified persons to existing vacancies.
- Canvassing for job vacancies for possible placement for jobseekers.
- To maintain an accurate record of notified vacancies.
- To provide training and development opportunities for staff so that their performances can meet the anticipated level of efficiency.
- Build the capacity of jobseekers to cope with job interviews.
STRATEGIC GOALS include: continuous improvement of the customer service division, preparing jobseekers for maximum participation in work places; work in close partnership with employers and provide collaborative services and information to State Agencies.

The Department continues to carry out its mandate by operationalizing the following functions:
maintaining a record of notified vacancies, to provide career guidance and counselling to those seeking employment and to match jobseekers with vacancies and arrange interviews and placement of jobseekers in the prospective positions/vacancies available.
CRMA provides career counselling to help individuals identify their strengths and career aspirations. We offer guidance on career paths, resumé building, and interview preparation, ensuring that jobseekers are well-prepared for the job market.
We regularly organize employment fairs and workshops that bring together employers and jobseekers, creating opportunities for direct interaction and networking.

Accessing the services provided by CRMA is straightforward. Individuals can visit our offices for in-person consultations at the Ministry of Labour located on Brickdam next door to GFF Headquarters and the Palms Geriatric Home, register for our Job Bank online- you can visit the Ministry’s website and Facebook page or participate in our training programmes and workshops (Job Readiness-Preparedness for the which World of Work). Our dedicated team is always available to provide support and guidance, ensuring that everyone has the resources they need to succeed.
